Oct 25, 13, I feel like Guilty Gear is the more mechanically complex game, while BB is a little more loose about giving letting you pull off flashy bullshit easily. BB is a little more accessible in general not saying it's easy at all, but just easiER when compared to GG , while Guilty Gear is more hardcore.

I think Guilty Gear is a much better series. Accent Core is one of the best fighting games ever made thanks to its incredible cast and mechanics, and a must-play for anyone into the genre I think it's the best 2D fighter ever personally.
It is a difficult game due to its mechanics FRC , but it's worth the effort if you like learning games. The game doesn't do a good job at teaching you how to play, but Dustloop has a pretty large amount of information for anyone looking to learn. I don't think BlazBlue is as interesting or satisfying mechanically. But if you're looking for something easier to pick up, Cross Tag Battle is worth a shot and pretty fun.
And being newer than AC, it comes with some tutorials and all that. Blazblue is not a simple game imo. No way is it more simple than gg. The only thing simple is the d button letting you do character gimmicks and even that is arguably more complex than GG. Blazblue fried my mind when I used to play it wheras I feel you can get pretty far in GG with good fundamentals.

I prefer guilty gear. I was never any good at it but i was playing hard for a few weeks last year and i was loving it. Hella fun. So much to learn and such great chacters. The graphics, the music and stages I love every inch of the presentation. And it's easier for me to visually follow that other airdashers, which is nice. I had ggxx back in the day and i felt much the same. So it feels like a series that's been rocking reliably for a long time.
That's cool. I bought the first blazblue when it came out and i wanted to like it buuuuutt. I felt it was like guilty gear but inferior in all the trappings around the game. It was busted in the beginning but it had a Marvel-esque charm to it. They all feel like they're trying too hard and only serve as exaggerations of a particular character archetype with no depth to them whatsoever.
