Hours , Directions , Donate , Membership. Overview and Studios The Artist Studio Program was launched in in response to the crisis of available affordable space for artists living and working in New York City.
The program runs for a 50 week period from September 1 to August The studios are located on the lower level of our building at 92 Plymouth Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn and range in size from to square feet. The program does not provide living space. We will email families a COVID agreement that they, and their Young Artist, will need to agree to, in writing, and return to us three weeks prior to the start of the program in order for their student to be able to participate. Atlanta Contemporary offers artists private workspace as well as opportunities for dialogue about contemporary art through free public programs, a professional resource in independent curators, and an ever-growing community amongst current and prior participants in the program.
Studios range in size from to square feet; each space is unique. Studio entrances are located within a secure courtyard next to a parking lot reserved for program participants. Leases are annual with the option to renew no more than 2 times.
Atlanta Contemporary reserves the right to deny renewal request. Artists of diverse backgrounds and experiences, working in any media, whose practice would benefit from the support offered by ASP, are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and not enrolled in any degree program. Former ASP participants are not eligible.
